Guys,
I'm thinking of a midweek break in Kent, possibly 2 nights away, sometime next month, and wondering where to make the most of my time there.
I fancy Canterbury ( Cathedral ), and Margate ( Turner Gallery ), Whitstable ( Seafood supper ) and Dungeness ( Derek Jarman's Prospect house shingle garden ) and open to any ideas you have.
Incidentally, travelling down by car from the Midlands so the area is a complete unknown to me.
Am I missing anything I should know about ?
Have joined the YHA to keep costs down.
Thanks in Anticipation.

Chatham Maritime Museum, also in Chatham The Royal Engineers Museum.
In Margate area is the Hornby Museum. Dungeness is fantastic, great pubs the Britannia (my choice) the Pilot as well. Plus lighthouse, RNLI boathouse & great Smokery that does freshly caught fish. Dover transport Museum, plus Dover Castle which has lots of tunnels used during the war WW2. Maidstone museum.
There is probably more but that'll keep you going!

Thanks TR7 - that's just the sort of thing I was looking for.
Just need the weather now.
Incidentally, reading up about Jarman's garden in Dungeness, he said it has the strongest sunlight, lowest rainfall and 2 weeks less frost than any other parts of UK. Should sort my winter SAD out with a kick-start to summer.

Dungeness is weird it is a big shingle spit (the largest in Europe)but is a great place to visit winter or summer, we regularly do a car club Fish n Chip run there. Just need the weather now.
