This is just out of curiosity more than anything (money permitted I think I would)
I personally like the look of them and I know the handling etc would be no good on the road but you can't really use 10/10ths anywhere anyway wink
So is it possible to make them street legal? (UK)

I've certainly seen some street legal ones on ebay. Well, registered for road use anyway.

Certainly is I know of a Kit Car manufacturer building two to order currently. They will pass IVA id properly specified and constricted. From memory NCF Blitz are still making these cars and indeed here is their website.

Good luck, decent waterproofing will be a bit of a challenge but these definitely can be road legal!

That's the old blitz website I believe, new one blitzworld.co.uk or something.
Was only asking I doubt I'll buy one any time soon but good to know they can be road legalised biggrin

I think Blitzworld is nothing to do with NCF, and NCF (and the blitz) were about quite a few years before Blitzworld.
Must have gone down like a lead baloon with NCF when they (BW) used a similar name! Do correct me if this is not the situation.

yea, look good value, basically a beetle floorpan/engine/gearbox/brakes/suspension with some steel tubes added. Benefit is that the chassis is unaltered and therefore no need for an an IVA test, classed as a re-body. Also run as a charity to train young mechanics so any purchase from them would be doing good aswell. I am very tempted and close to getting an engine that could potentially fit with an upside down Boxster/A4 gearbox (Mazda v6 on bike carbs!), need to tackle SHMOBO yet, started to drop hints, and also do a bit more saving.

Indeed that's the case - No mention of NCF though. It looks like Blitzworld are agents for NCF, but I didn't find a link from the site. Look good though, and I remember the NCF Diamond from years ago looking good.thumbup

I used to have a fugitive with an Alfa Romeo boxer engine on an adapter plated beetle Gearbox. Should never have sold it, really regret it. What spec you building ?

I went to visit but couldn't test drive frown
He forgot to mention the test car was being done up over the phone. But the place looked good. Knows what he's doing but its expensive unfortunately. I could happily spend £20,000 on the blitz sport buggy.
