What brand of alarm is the factory fitted on a 2002 car, as an insurer is questioning about it.

Found late yesterday it's a Meta T99 2.

Only needed it as direct line wanted to know to "customise" the quote, as the DVLA details said standard Cerbera, and part of the process required details of the alarm.

£1230 later (and £110 over a standard 4.5) I'm insured and ready to go

(wife is 3 years older but her £500 accident two years back would have been another £300).

I've been told by one of the specialist companies (Sunnighill I think it was) that my postcode is the big factor, as I'd say everything else should be fine.

Only thing I can think is my job title of "Computer Programmer" causes a raise, but in the case giving it as "Systems Architect" causes confusion and my "Technical Director" position even more...
