I'm going to look at a couple of ML430s later today. Is there anything in particular I need to look out for with these engines?

I've given up hope of finding a decent diesel model, too many with dodgey injectors and turbos. This will suffice for the dogs and dump runs with a bit of a V8 rumble.

I drove an auto one years ago. Make sure you are happy with the way it behaves when you stop on hills. Unlike a normal auto car it didn't have enough "creep" to hold the car on a slope. Means left foot braking as there is no conventional handbrake.

I can work with that! Find myself doing that with my passat DSG on really steep hills.

Don't expect a v8 rumble either, my e430 is dead quiet other than start up frown
