So I've just been spurred on by Jamie's 30 minute meals & my desire to win Masterchef 2020 and bought myself a magimix 4200 food processor.

So far I've made fresh coleslaw and salsa but this is barely scratching the surface.

So I want recipes; delicious soups, creamy sauces, sides and whatever you can think of; I need inspiring!

Promise to post pictures of recipes!

Years ago, I bought a Magimix and ended up never using it.

Unless you're cooking for a multitude, there are very few jobs that a Magimix will do better and faster than a decent knife once you've put the thing together, pulled it all apart, and then washed it.

The notable exceptions being pesto and hummous, however I use a £19.99 mini processor from Asda for these, plus a cheap Braun stick blender for soup.

I use my food processor thing to make fresh curry pastes. Indian, Thai, whatever.

Please heed this advice.

The 4200 says it can mix bread dough but you are better off leaving bread dough alone. It is too hard on the machine and it will strip the splines off the nylon spindle.

Plenty on the internet about it, but I found out too late. frown

Next time you're in the mood for some grilled meat, use it to make a very good salsa verde. Loads of good recipes online. Don't skip any ingredients and you'll be pleased you made the effort.
