Download the free program TYRE (it'll show as a feature in TomTom home on your PC).

Launch the program, it uses Google maps, then you select your waypoints & when done plug in your TomTom & transfer it from TYRE to the Rider.

TIP
Make sure with each waypoint that you create you zoom right in to make sure that it's not on the wrong side of a dual carriageway etc

I have just spent quite a large amount of money on a new TomTom GO LIVE 1005 (over 200 quid) only to find that it does not have a routeplanner library and so the Tyre software does not work with it. It seems the models released in the last 12 months have had this feature removed.

TomTom has made me an ex-customer in 1 day.

I hope that with this post maybe someone might be saving their hard earned.
