Gordon,
I've just got hold of all the convertible factory specification sheets for all convertibles, so I'm updating the register. You will be pleased to hear the actual build numbers I believe are about the 90 mark, with about 15 ordered but never built... So proof of their rarity....When I've scanned them I willmake them available to owners...Keith
PS My insurance agreed writeoff valuation is now £54k.

I was considering an AM DB9 last year and was offered 15k for my 2006 Tuscan Convertible as trade in.
They told me that it will need an engine rebuild in the next few years
"So? That'd be probably about as much as a major service on the car you're trying to sell me!" They told me that it will need an engine rebuild in the next few years

Nice to hear more accurate numbers.
I havnt requested a write off value so very interesting.
Cheers.
I am with Mannings...they require at least one dealer valuation (and if required a second one), photos of all sides of car, interior, engine bay and I send them chassis aswell
. Upto £75k does not require a tracker, but this time I did have to pay extra because I increased its value mid policy (£20 admin fee and another £40 because of the increased value). I was already paying for the 4.5 upgrade , previously it was valued at £37k and I spent a lot extra on the upgrade. A valuation lasts for two years, unless you wish to increase it.
It does save the hassle of argueing about market values if you were to have an accident.

I wrote off my first Tuscan and although I got back more than I had paid, The 20+k that I had spent was totally lost.
