Eye/Glasses peculiarity

This could sit in either science or over here, but we'll give it a shot here to start with..
I'm short sighted and have an astigmatism in both eyes. I wear glasses with high refractive index material lenses.
Why, when looking at my Sky+ box and moving my head right to left, or up and down, can I make the blue circle of the playback indicator move independently to the red recording indicator..

I couldn't tell you if the same happens without my glasses on, I can't focus on the damn thing from far enough away!

I've enlisted pop band The Pink Floyds to help demonstrate.

The lenses in your glasses will defract different colours by different amounts, so it can give them a slightly odd effect of moving.
You might also find an image like this might have an effect where the blues and reds seem to be embossed, or a slight 3d effect

Sounds about right except it's refract. Think of a prism - white light in coloured lights out but in a different place. Your negative lens is like 2 prisms place tip to tip, so thin in the middle and thick at the outside.
Add to this hi index lenses have a hi V value (constringence) which means that they disperse light even more.

Checked mine, they all do that, steady red dot showing for recording, moving blue to indicate recording at the same time.I'm short sighted and have an astigmatism in both eyes. I wear glasses with high refractive index material lenses.
