Over the weekend bought an N64 from a shop in town - unfortunately was missing one of the leads so had to wait a few days for an ebay order to get here but now it's here - what do I bloody well play on it?!

I bought a couple of games from the shop - an F1 type game and Turok: Rage Wars (not the best selection in-store I'm sure you can tell) and I also bought Goldeneye which is just as bloody excellent as I remembered.

But what else? I intend to get copies of Mario64 and Mariokart, but are there any other majorly nostalgic games I'm missing out on? I will play pretty much anything except sports games... (The F1 game was for my brother next time I had back home from uni).

Loved PilotWings on the 64. It was always being promised for the Wii but it never happened.

Ha! I remember the South Park shooter, had it on ps1, the Terrance and Phillip fart doll grenades were good too!

On the N64 front, pretty much the same that's already been mentioned. Mario 64 and Mario kart, goldeneye, perfect dark(which I need to get). Star Wars episode 1 racer is pretty good fun too smile
I also bought an N64 a few months ago to do a bit of retro gaming,
I have these so far

For the era Goldeneye was very good. Mario Kart 64 is "OK" but the old SNES version is much more fun imho.

Get a 4 way controller and get a WWE game and 3 mates to come round. Nothing funnier than having a few drinks while playing Mario Kart then have a fight. Everyone will gang up on the best player. Had a lot of fun on nights I was too poor to go out at Uni with this set up.

Goldeneye is a must,
Especially if you put in the paintball and big head cheats.

Remember perfect dark will need the expansion pack to play it properly. One of the, if not the, best GPS I've ever played.

My must have n64 games are goldeneye, Mario 64, perfect dark, Zelda oot. It's no suprise that in any best games ever list most or all of those will usually feature.

Which was the Star Wars game that started with Hoth and having to bring down the AT-ATs with your speeder? It was the first level and my fav. Just played it over and over again.

Has Lylat Wars been mentioned? As good today as it's ever been. As is Mario 64. Completely timeless and still about as 'fun' a game as has ever been made. Ocarina Of Time is one of the all time greats, and Majora's Mask (more Zelda) is an underated gem.
