DB9 and French Autoroute Toll tags - Help!
Discussion
Just got my liber-t French Autoroute toll tag in post but....
It is insists that you install it on the darked glass behind the the rear view mirror.
How the DB9 doesn't have this.
Does anyone have experience of using these?
Will it work if you just if you just put on the regular glass - bearing in mind it that it's heated which is highlighted as issue?
Many thanks.

I just put mine on the top of the dash when I approach the toll booth and then put it away until next needed. It works fine. That way I don't have it left on show when I leave the car anywhere -I would think the tags are a pretty desireable thing for thieves. I dont leave the holster thing stuck to the windscreen either as that just tells the villains that there is a telepeage tag somewhere.
Has anybody had the guts to actually go through the 30kph capable lane at 30 without lifting off?

Make you you stick it on the right way round though, otherwise you can't get the tag out without removing the sticky thing
You mean like I did?
It's now a permanent fixture.I was doing it under supervision as well... Unfortunately the person doing the supervision was RobGT

I put mine on wrong too. I pulled really, really, really hard and the thing came off leaving the clear glue on the screen which just came off by pulling at it.

In future I think I will use bluetack to attach it!

Yup! The light goes green a second before the gate opens, so you get some clue that its ok. My foot was hovering over the brake though
I stopped leaving it on the dash BTW, it doesn't always get read, and they your fishing around with a queue of irate locals behind you... on the top of the screen it seems to work 100%

Frankly you should be glad it ended up on the car!

I have it on good authority that the glue comes off ok. It does look like its upside down that way round, I guess it's designed to go left of the mirror.

Designed to go right of the mirror I think to stay out of view for those driving on the wrong side of the road I have it on good authority that the glue comes off ok. It does look like its upside down that way round, I guess it's designed to go left of the mirror.
