Theres a kebab place just outside Hackesher Markt S-Bahn station called Trattoria Ossena which does an unbelievably good chicken doner (more so if you get the extra cheese). Every time I'm in Berlin its the first place I go.

just back from a stag in Berlin, I tried 3 currywurst and was pretty disappointed - gloopy msg-heavy sauce, sausage that you'd get off a trolley in Leicester Square. I tried the wurst in a bun from mobile places/stalls and they were delicious. Proper identifiable meat and tasty. All chips I ate on the weekend were outstanding.
