Lacquer on wheels?

Has anyone lacquered there wheels after polishing the aluminium?
if so what lacquer did you use, 1k or 2k?
and are they still looking good?

I would like to know this to. I am halfway through splitting and re-polishing my split rims and I would like to coat them.

I am thinking on POR-15 Glisten PC gloss Clear Coat - has anyone used this ?

Problem will be the rim bolts. If you clear before you bolt they could damage the clear. If you clear after bolted up the nuts will be difficult to get an even coat on and it will fail on them first.

What ever you do please keep us posted of the results.
