Yeah I'm thinking that, I would never re badge it,
I may put a boot spoiler on at some point.
Just wondered that's all..
On another note I'm surprised at the price wedges are going for at the moment, seems low.
I got mine for a good price, but needs a reasonable amount of work.
but know I own one I obviously want them to rocket in price!

I used to own 350SE No.9. What a car brilliant car that was! Yes, they are 3.9 and they have different wheels. I believe they all have power steering and only 25 were made. They skipped no.13 and made no.26 instead.

I knew I'd ot 26 in my head from somewhere. But was sure it had been mensioned there were only 25. Never gave it a thought that No13 was never built for obvious reasons.
Saw your old yellow peril today. It sounded lovely.

A couple of questions, what is the list of things that would make my 350i into an 350SE
And should I make those changes? As it never was an SE.
Rik
I have number 12 and recommend its cheaper to buy a real one and trade yours in than try to make one that won't cut the mustard, they are only commanding £500 more than a standard 350i in a similar condition so to speak on average and you get a better engine and power steering along with some special wheels, griff dash dials, limited slip diff, and a rear spoiler that keeps the rear down because its so heavy . Also if can believe the write ups they are 290 bhp, but they feel more like 240 bhp, but don't be surprised if the log book says 3500 cc as they all said that. What's important is the engine number starts with NCK, anyway wait long enough and one will appear. But make sure it's a real one with the original wheels. And should I make those changes? As it never was an SE.

Hi Rik
A 350SE is a bit special compared with a standard 350i
First the engine is a 4.0Lt and usualy a hot wire version!
Special SE wheels

Fitted as standard a droopy spoiler.

A higher spec interior, which means the factory used better quality materials.
A Ltd Slip diff!
Specails decals.
They were the last 350is made so had the better rear suspension etc.
My car is num 21 which should be the 20th one of 25 made but the factory did in fact make 26 most books and info say 25 which was correct but the original num 21 was written off in an accident in Dec 90 and the owner perswaded the factory to make him another 350SE which they did even down to putting num 21 back on it!
She is in fact the last 350i made and one off if not the last wedge made!
Some of the things you can fit on your car like the spoiler, the wheels as they become avaliable from time to time!
You can even fit a bigger engine. But the rest is not cost effective to do and also to call it a SE when they are all know off due to an exercise done by me last year, (which caused me to buy one due to that,) would not be a sensable thing to do!
Enjoy your car as it is and fit extras as and when you want to!

Hi
The last wedges left the factory in 91 no others were built after then as far as I am aware!
A car could have been built in 90/91 and sat at a dealers waiting for a buyer and reged at a later date.
With regard to 350i's, mine was certainly the last one made.
The factory were very reluctant to build it as they had stopped building them the year before, but money spoke and the car was made!
By 91 the Griff and S and Tuscan Racers were all the factory were interested in, I actualy think the last wedge in fact may have been a Green SEAC with my car and it being built at around the same time!
Ref the white car in Jersey yes it has a J plate that stands for J for Jersey reged car!

When were the 430s made? Last car is always difficult to define, eg there are about four last cerbs: last chassis made, last car to be started, last car to be completed, last car to be registered and anything else that someone can dream up.
Hi The 430's were made in 91 as part of the 44 400SE built in 91.
The Green SEAC and my 350SE were specail builds and don't show in the production numbers in any of the books on the wedge (Robinson, Tipler or the Bible)
