I'd like to find out whether any TVRs have dual gauges (i.e. a single 52mm gauge with two needles showing different things e.g. oil pressure and water temp). Could you have a quick check next time you're in the car? If yours does have any dual gauges, I'd be gratefull if you could let me know the model and year, which things the gauge shows, and what colour the gauge is (i.e. bezel, needle, letters, background).

All of the Cerbera's have dual guages, showing oil pressure and water temp.

I think you will find, on the Cerbera at least, that folks have the same dials but the colours vary enormously. Most have ones which complement their body colour ie yellow etc. I think mine came with green mist? - a subtle shade of green which matches the BRG body colour. You just specify the colour when you order the car.

Or try giving Speedy Cables a call - they used to supply instruments for TVR I believe and still do repairs so might have what you're looking for sitting on a dusty shelf.

Because I recently spent 3 months trying to get a dial from them with no success.

Speedy Cables, Caerbont and Green Gauges are all the same company as far as I know.

Speedy Cables and Caerbont are one and the same. They won't supply TVR logo'd gauges, and quite rightly, they are TVR copyright. They will supply the gauges without the TVR logo though.
They are very helpful; I bought (from TVR) a TVR logo'd water temp guage and they changes the water temp symbol to an oil temp one for me ... but they point blank would not supply a new oil temp guage with a TVR logo.

Glad to know that these dual gauges do exist. All the aftermarket dual gauges I've found so far have been mechanically operated (i.e. via capilliary tubes), can anyone confirm that the Cerbera gauges are electrically operated?

Also, to narrow the search down a bit now I know they exist, I would like to find out whether any standard ones come in the same style as the existing S gauges i.e. a flat bezzel, gauge completely black except for white numbers and needle. Seen any like this?

Great news. I'd very much like to replace the water temperature gauge on my Chimaera with a combined water temperature and oil temperature.

It is a major omission that the Chimaera doesn't have an oil temperature gauge, in my opinion. I always feeling like I'm guessing when the car is up to temperature without one.

Pity about the lack of TVR logo though.

Nobody can as the Cerbera gauge is mechanically operated, I'm afraid.

The cerbera doesn't have an oil temperature gauge either, although it is possible to fit one if you put in a sender on an oil pipe.

Cerbera gauge looks like oil pressure and water temp. I suppose that you could then get a separate oil temp gauge and plumb into the current oil pressure position.

Pete, what are you looking for? Oil temp and water temp or oil pressure and water temp? The MGB had a dual water temp/oil pressure gauge which was, I believe, electric as opposed to mechnical. Rich...

Basically any combination which lets me free up one or more of the existing holes in the dashboard! Any comination of volts/fuel/Oil pressure/water temp would be OK. By any chance do you happen to know what the MG gauges look like? I'd really prefer them to be similar to the existing black TVR gauges. If this isn't possible then I'm willing to compromise, at the moment the only option I can see is to use dual digital gauges. :yuk:

Don't think digital gauges look 'right' in a round housing, but at the moment I don't see many other choices.
