Hi,

Firstly, I'm trying to be careful in how I write this, as I don't want to violate any PH terms. I won't name my website as I don't want this to be seen as shameless promotion. If you are interested, the link should be in my profile.

I have been working over the past 5 months on my website of motorsports based colouring pages. I offer my illustrations for free, as I was disappointed by the general standard of car based colouring images available on the net. The illustrations are all my own work, and for the most part have been received favourably, to the point that I have had a couple of enquires about whether I am selling them as prints or stickers. This is something I would like to do in the near future, and have invested in some screen printing gear so that I will be able to do proper art prints (once I've got my head around)

As they are not photo traces but illustrations started from scratch, there are no copyright issues there, but the images are obviously based closely on real world cars complete with their liveries and sponsorship logos. Legally where do I stand on selling these? Are there copyright issues from either the car manufacturers, the race teams, the designer of the liveries or the owners of the logos themselves. I am not selling images of the logos separately, and there are plenty of people selling their motorsport photography, so don't know if different terms apply here, but any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Tom
