One of my lambda sensors gave up and I need to replace it this week as I have an MOT on Saturday.

I've looked at Alex Judd's eqiuivalent parts website for Lambda sensors and there are three listed:
- Intermotor part number : 16339
- www.gendan.co.uk/oxygen_lambda_sensors_TVR.html
- Land rover part number ERR 6729

Can anyone let me know which one I should get?

It's the ERR number, for range/land rover V8:

If you have the software, reset your adaptives and take it for a run to get it nice and hot before your test...

Will do, I'm first in that morning so will drive straight in. They do the emissions first. Never had trouble but always good to know anything that helps
Cheers!

Any tips or tricks on how to get the lambdas out?

I've been down in the garage since I came home from work and still can't get them out!

they're just a 17mm spanner for the hexagon. remove the chassis undertray and drop the front of the exhaust down (or take it off completely). the hard part is getting at the connectors.

I managed to get mine out with the tray in place, just get comfy and keep spinning he spanner over. The plug is by the starter, go in from the top with one hand. Bit fiddly but by no means difficult.

Was tempted to hack a spanner. But those crows feet jobbies should do it I'd say..

Well done Paul, I could only get onto one of them - but the other is impossible to get at with a straight spanner.

If you're not too busy you could drive to London and do mine! I make the best tea ever wink

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a smart arse.

Setting off now !

Oh no, wait a minute, my MIL light is still on.
I guess we all have our TVR burdens to bear.

Best of Luck.

(Ummmm, I am assuming you've got it jacked-up so that you can get your whole body underneath, Yes ? )

Ahh no, never thought that for a sec Paul, btw if the MIL light is on then there should be at least one fault tripped in the ECU. So you should be able to find out what area needs attention pretty easily.
(Yep, it's right up on 4 axle stands and I can get right underneath.. but there's just not enough space to get a spanner on the sensor!)

If you remove the cat you can get straight on it, it's only four bolts to get it off.
