Hi,
I'm posting this on behalf of someone who has a TVR CERBERA on an X Reg. The car has been locked in a garage for around 8 years now and has not been started during this time. Please could someone give me some advice of what work will need to be done in order to get it running again.
Does anyone know what the car would be worth if it would be sold in current condition?
Many thanks,

The car was a runner with full service history, MOT etc when the owner left the UK around 8 years ago. The owner was not expecting to be away for so long and has now decided he should sell it as he is not coming back to the UK!
The garage that its stored in is free of frost and damp.
Would a local garage be able to get it running or would it need to go to a TVR specialist?

I fancy a spare one. Pm me a price? Suspect it's worth £18k if fixed and in good order but suspect it could require a lot of cash and good luck to sort...
Evening

Probably wise to consider this a restoration project and enjoy savings from there. Tyres will be age hardened and mishapen, dampers siezed, bushes deteriorated, fuel hoses perished, oil, coolant and brake fluids deteriorated, possible corrosion inside engine bores etc, probable electrical issues from lack of use, dead battery, leather dried/maybe cracked etc.
Leaving a car in a garage for 8 years is a big fat fail usually, so I think the expectation should be that it needs a lot of attention. I'd certainly want to pull the spark plugs and check the cylinders for corrosion prior to turning the engine over.

What he said. Although I do fancy a project like this next ! Leaving a car in a garage for 8 years is a big fat fail usually, so I think the expectation should be that it needs a lot of attention.
