Hi all,

A few months ago (maybe more), I remember reading a thread about some chap who went up on an air to air refuelling sortie with the RAF. I have looked back 15 pages and cannot find it - could anyone point me in the right direction please?

I'll delete this when I can find it.

Many thanks

I can't track it down. It doesn't appear to exist!

Sorry this isn't much help!

Thanks for your help guys - I am beginning to think I am going crazy! I have looked through all the threads on flyer forum this year to see if it was there, but cannot find it and now will start on pprune.

The thread contained some amazing photos and descriptions of going up in the tanker and watching the fast jets refuel. The writer said that he could organise something similar for anyone who made a donation to the RAF benevolent fund (or something similar). I was stunned that there seemed very little interest.

It is my, much loved, father in law's 70th birthday coming up and he is a retired commercial (airline) pilot but also an RAF nut - his dad was shot down and killed in a Stirling during WW2 so I guess it is all entwined in his life story.

I wanted to see if I could organise this trip for him, so I needed to find the thread, to contact the guy, to find out the size of donation, to catch the spider that wriggled and ti....

And can I find it? Can I hell. Anyone able to help create a very special day for a cool retired aviator? Anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

Thanks
