Good luck at £15k.

If you're looking at Elises for that money, either a low mileage, limited edition S1 like the Sport 160 if you want something that might hold it's money and maybe even appreciate a bit, or a really nice condition late 111S or slightly less perfect early 111R if you want something to use every day.

Only other option at around that price point is an Esprit, in which case do your homework on the different types, issues and running costs, etc.

Elise. If its your only car, the Toyota engine is a good bet, coz you want it to start 24:7. Otherwise the purists will tell you that the old rover engined car would give you more ban for your bucks.

Oh yeah, the 134bhp Toyota engined Elise S is worth a look too, not as quick as the 111R, but a very reliable drivetrain.

Do you fancy an old Lotus? PM if you want a look at my 1974 Elan Plus 2S 130/5.

£15k might just get you an Excel for work days and an M100 for sunny weekends wink
