Hi guys, looking for advice with my car, it's a Fiesta ST with Mondeo 300mm brake upgrade.

A few weeks ago I had the wheel bearing and hub face(Front left) changed at a garage and it was fine for a while but recently there have been the three problems:
i) Loud screeching when turning hard left
ii) When reversing and turning there is resistance and grinding noises from the front end, can feel the car bogging down.
iii) on/off squeaking from the front left side which speeds up as the car does, sounds like pads rubbing against a warped disc.

So today I went to change the left disc thinking it was warped, when I took it off I noticed a very bad cut around the rear of the disc which lines up perfectly with the bottom of the carrier, I assume this is where the first sound is coming from. I put the car back together and the 3rd sound is still there so not a warped disc.

Anybody got any ideas where I go next? Can't work out why the carrier isn't aligned properly and this wasn't an issue until the bearing and hub plate was changed...

Sounds like the disc has moved in relative to the carrier due to the hub now sitting further in
New bearing may be slightly recessed
You could dress back the carrier where the disc rubs
You could space the disc on the hub

Also check how central the disc is to the caliper

Back to the garage.
I assume they are aware of the upgrade & haven't just fitted standard items?
