Squeaky seat...

Now I have cured the rattling doors the car is so quiet I can hear the passenger seat squeaking.

Anyone fixed this?

dunno about the seat, but seem to have a couple of mice in the dashboard since a/c fitting

Hmm this is funny. I have had a few squeaks getting rid of one just highlights another. Recently removed squeak from where steering column was rubbing against surround. Then I had the drivers door, now I've got the passenger door.

Sod it, I never hear anything when the roof is off....

How did you do that? I was thinking of putting some felt around the metal parts.

All very scientific. I removed the the screws holding the 'top' on, 3 or 4 of them. Now no squeaking. It just sits on the top loosely but not so you'd notice.

Might be the top of the seat rubbing the rollcage. If so just stick a little square of velcro (the soft side) on the top of the seat and it'll stop it.

Fit a sports exhaust like mine, then noises in the cabin become a thing of the past, problem solved!!

I have the squeeky steering. I was going to try some vaseline on the bit where it touches the leather column. Anyone tried that?

Always found furniture wax best for dealing with this type of rubbing; dries hard & invisible, & often lasts 12mths

An alternative is liquid silicone. Works a treat.
