Sorry if this has been said before but it really gets on my jubblies when a rule is enforced but when the rule falls down, joe public still suffers.

TFL kindly implement a wonderful system that states you have to buy a ticket before you get on the bus.

(No issue with this in principal).

BUT

When you get to the machine and it isn't working, the bus arrives and you explain to the bus driver that the machine doesn't work and the driver says tuff sh*t because he doesn't carry any money onboard, I then have to walk bloody miles to the next stop where the machine does work and then the next bus is about 30 minutes away.

So, the question - Can the conductor/driver legally refuse you or do they have to let you on if the machine isn't working?

I hope I see Ken in the street soon
