Keeping a close on these, 61 plate at a local dealer has dropped from £59k to £56k and today just dropped again to
£52k that's £7k in I think 7 weeks
When will they hit low to mid £30's?

Hardly surprising given the deals on new F10's currently available,

From what the dealer told me, they have had people trading in their 1 year old cars to get on the new deal so they can get their monthly payments down. Even with negative equity in their car they were still getting lower monthlies moving into a new car.

Not surprised the values are falling given new deals and more used cars coming onto the market.

why do people finance cars?

serious question, there is cheaper funding available via secured lending against your house

I think there will be a point were the used cars start to make sense and demand picks up, not sure what price point that will be perhaps 40-45k?

Haggle hard and you'll get a new one for less than £63k with 0% over 4 years, that's bound to affect nearly new prices. They will only drop so far though. Once they get into the mid to high £40's I think prices will firm up as its a lot of car for the money.

I think all recent M5 have suffered from significant depreciation in the early years. I dont think this is any different.
