Would unplugging the feed to an aftermarket electric power steering pump be the cause or should I look deeper. All levels are fine.

Going to Joolz tomorrow so I'm sure he will find what's what.

What do you think

Cheers

If it was linked to the ECU I would have thought yes.
I was at Joolz's place Tuesday and he had a nice blue Pistonheaders car in then, it only a few mins from my house.
You'll be ok with Joolz's and yes he will be able to sort it.

Typically the connection to the ECU is to energise the relay for the power steering, the pump runs with the fuel pump. Doubtful that would cause a MIL light issue probably more a coincidence that some thing else happened around the time, normal cause on mine is Lambda sensors.

That was my car. Joolz was working his magic. Easiest way just to get the laptop plugged in and see what's bringing it on.

Sorted. You all have permission to tut and roll the eyes at a Cerbera novice.

To cut a long story short.

PAS has a leaking pipe being sorted in a couple of weeks
Took flexible air ducts off so I could get front engine cover out
Unplugged PAS pump to save fluid all overt garage and to protect the pump running dry before it gets sorted
Put it all back together but missed the air flow sensor on the front passenger side of the air box

Thanks for help and suggestions. Sorry I'm a muppet. banghead

I drove with my electric PAS pump unplugged whilst sorting it out. It didn't attract a MIL.

Don't think it's an airflow sensor. Ambient temp sensor? tut tut smile

Just returned from a fantastic trip to see Joolz. Really nice gent and really knows his stuff. Totally went through the car, talking me through everything. I learnt an awful lot about the car and what's where. He also pointed out a few little niggles which could do with some attention. The car was given a clean bill of health and then went on the rollers, 350bhp and plenty torque. I left him a very happy man. Cannot recommend him enough. That is if you can find his contact details, oh and then you have to find his workshop.

I missed the work shop when I went. Joo was waving at me as I drove past but got there in the end. He sure is a top bloke.
