So rd 3 gets under way this weekend with the championship still very close with plato leading with Jordan, shedden, neal and tordoff separated by just 20 points.

The soft tyre compound won't be used due to the unique challenges of the track so a special compound tyre is used and it's up to the teams not to lover stretch the tyres.
Hopefully with the win from wsr the first rwd ngtc win the team should be challenging more up the front of the grid along with airwaves.

So qualifying is live at 15.25 online.

I'll be there on Sunday, what time do people recommend getting there in the morning to avoid the majority of the traffic and queues?.

Getting in isn't really a problem getting out is. But over the years ive been would normally get there for 9.45 set up the tent etc then wonder down to the stalls etc then back up for 11 usually for the first race. As for getting out always left a couple of laps before the end of the last race, can be a problem getting out at thruxton so expect some delays getting home.

First time in 8 years I will not be there and not going to be watching aswel as im up in stoneligh kit car show so be watching the races later on in the evening.

Spotted - someone cycling round the track on a roadie in a yellow PH jersey last night while we were doing our track walk!

Sorry if we were all titting about in front of you we were either deep in conversation about lines on the corners or pratting about and taking the piss out of each other on the straights!

Go down to the complex (Campbell/Cobb/Seagrave) if you walk past these corners you get to see a fair bit of the track as you can see them come over the brow into Campbell, through that section, then out to Goodwood. Depending on where exactly you are you'll lose sight of them in Village/Church and then see them pop up the hill in to the chicane. This is probably the place that you'll see more of the track than anywhere else.

FP1 has finished with Tordoff first followed by the 3 Toyotas of Jackson/newsham/wrathell but it was disrupted by rain so none of the top drivers set a time.

I swear the weather forecast for this weekend was dry with something like <10% chance of rain. I'm in Andover now and looks like the wretched weather has turned up for the party as well! Never fails to spoil a good day out, does it?! frown

Still, looking forward to tomorrow though!

Will be cheering for the Wookie!!! smile

You have to wonder why Team Hard bothered to buy and them rebuild the 2 Insignia's when the Passat seems to have a hell of a lot more potential even as a brand new car.

Cause they were cheap and the reason why the Passat is so high is down to toc put either goff or cole in the Passat and it be further down the grid. Saying that goff is only 1s behind toc in the Passat that's not bad considering he is new to the btcc.
