Asking to pay for Advert

Hi, Member since 2008 but cant make an standard advert like I did last year for my Type R. It's just taking me to the payment screen for a premium add. Can I not submit a standard add anymore?

Standard ads (for cars) haven't been avaliable for a while, but you should be able to submit a free ad as you joined prior to Jan 2009.
You may need one of the techies to "tick your box" to allow you to do so.

It seems odd that this comes up again and again. I’d have thought it would be a straightforward thing to “tick the box” for all eligible members.

Could it be the case that some members who joined prior to 01/01/09 have inadvertently paid without realising they are entitled to free adverts?

I wonder if the “techies” should inspect adverts submitted since the inception of the new classifieds to see if anyone is due a refund.
