Porschetech Basildon

Hi all, currently looking at a 997 C4S up for sale. The current owner has had the engine rebuilt at Porschtech Basildon a year ago, and there is still a years warranty left.

Has anybody had dealings with the above company? Good/bad experiences?

Basically, do they know what they're doing?

ETA the engine had two scored pistons, which is why it was rebuilt, a common problem apparently? And the clutch was also replaced.

put it this way i have not heard any good things about them and i live in south east essex so not far from me.unless an engine has been rebuilt by hartech or autofarm or any other top specialist i would walk

I also live locally and haven't heard of them either. That doesn't mean to say they have a bad rep tho.
Re. the engine rebuild and warranty - I would be asking if they did the work in-house or was it outsourced to Hartech, Autofarm or others? Also, who is the warranty underwritten by? If reptuable then all could be good for you...
