I've not bought a CD since about 2006!

Looking to buy some music with 'high fidelity' recording.

Any advice? I think my last order was from Play but it looks like they are a reseller now.

Amazon usually. Google the title and see if there are cheaper options. There normally aren't in my experience.

Play or amazon, usually amazon.
A CD is a CD, it should be the same regardless of who supplied it.

Haven't bothered since Spotify came about to be honest. Before that, Amazon.

Amazon these days, the buy with one click option is deadly when you hear a tune that you just have to have, so easy you no longer have to get a card out of your wallet. hehe

Seeing this thread, has made me do just that, put in a pre-order for the Savages album that comes out on May 6th. hehe

This is where I am. Was an early subscriber and continue to have a Premium account. I do however have a fantastic Hi-Fi and the 'high quality streaming' gets nowhere near CD quality.

I'm likely to be upgrading the amps in the next few months so I think it worthwhile buying some decent content.

Cheers for replies.

And I deleted a comment about SACD and DVD audio formats!

Have you seen the recently added "extreme quality" streaming? Does this make a difference?

Secondhand off eBay, rip as flac or Apple lossless, stream to a good player.

Nevermind, it seems that this option is only available on mobile devices. Seems they differentiate between normal, high and extreme quality on mobile stuff and only normal and high on laptops/desktops.

Sorry for getting your hopes up.

I would go for FLAC downloads personally, plenty out there if you know where to look.
