Noticed this evening that the Speedometer was sporadically not working. I had the lights on and when it was not working the speedo stopped reading and at the same time the speedo dial cluster lights were out. The rest of the dash dials and lights were fine.

I assume there is a dodgy connection somewhere?

Speed sensor on the half shaft will do this to the speedo for sure, when mine did this I did not see the lighting issue. It also affects mileage clocked if it is this. Warranty anyway?

If the speedo lights and speedo go off it must be a connection problem on back of speedo, the instrument lights are all connected to the same feed,, or could be an earth problem behind dash,, be careful , just took my dash out and wood veneer fell off ,,,

Agree and hope it is an earth/live feed. Mine was the sensor on the drive shaft. A pig of a job to replace but have a good post link to replace. Alex. Have you saved the old veneer bits. I could do with some for an attempt to Dutch marquetry repair mine?!

Cheers . . . Bob <RowanAtkinson> wink

Taking her down to Fernies next week to resolve. I'd prefer to tinker myself but may as well make use of the warranty!

Thanks All smile
