Hi chaps!

Long time 911 enthusiast but still a virgin unfortunately. Just wanted a bit of advice on prospective 964T2 I'm considering. It's on around £39,000 with 81000 miles. Looks in good nick with air con, computer and split rims... but has power steering, and red leather! Are those last two a price killer?

I really want something I can drive a bit and maybe make a little on when the time is right. Savings doing FA in the bank! Don't want to get into investment discussion but would appreciate opinions about the car and price!

What colour is the car? Got any Pics?

Good 964t's with sensible miles and good history are between 35K and £40k at the moment, though average condition cars start at mid to high 20's.
Buy a good one because a bad one will give you (and your wallet) nightmares weeping

Not everyones cup of tea, but quite a rare car nowadays.

Thanks guys! This is supposed to have a Peter Morgan seal of approval but not sure when that was. PAS was standard back then? Didn't realise that! When did that come in for Turbos then, this model?

Love the interior myself!

How long has the owner had it? I'm sure this car was discussed on here within the last year!?

Yeah, I guess they are not so popular, but don't quite understand why when they look like and handle like a streamlined and improved 930, which seem beloved by most. Was it just the disappointment that they were still 3.3s. I know the S and 3.6s fetch silly money. I would have thought these had a premium on 930s? Maybe its just because they are 964s...one of the unloved models along with 996s!!

Blimey PAS has been around since the sixties.

Only came in on the 911 with the 964 in the late eighties, so this is (I believe) the first model of 911 turbo with PAS.

I'm also pretty sure this car has been talked about before.

Think you'll find 964's are (have) become loved now, with prices rising on all models.

The 930 will always be 'the' 911 turbo, the poster car which made the 911 turbos name. For that reason they will always have a huge fan base and following. The 964 has now turned a corner and is now being recognised for the great mix of original styling and fairly modern driving characteristics. The RS lead the way with the 964 revolution, and the 3.6 turbos became highly sort after due to its low build numbers and rarity. The RS has pulled the value of good carreras up and its hard to now find a good one for much under £20k. The huge increase in value of the 3.6t has now pulled the 3.3t up in turn to the point where a good one is around £40k as apposed to between £25k and £30k about 4 years ago.

The low values of the 996t are simply down to the huge build numbers. They have been under value for a couple of years now and seem to have stabalised if not slightly increased now.

The Turbo's of most models have a following however they are not everybody's cup of tea.
Some people buy one then find out its not for them, its small market for the seller and buyer.

What people like and want this year will change maybe next year? If you like one buy one whatever the model of 911.

Drive and enjoy 'EVERY MILE IS A SMILE'

Yeah, definitely seen that. I'm referring to mainstream 911 fashion if you know what I mean!

Lovely cars Sifly! 996 T, bargain of the century right now. Is that the concourse 964 t mentioned in previous thread? When I say 964s and 996s are 'unloved models' I am referring to the 'mainstream' 911 fashion which seems to ADORE 930s, 993 (especially)and 997s. I have watched 964s recent price hike and maybe 996s, which are crazily undervalued, will head upwards at some point.

It's not necessarily my opinion but it's interesting how one can lean towards fashion. I originally hated the 993s look as the ugliest of all time but I have been surrounded by so many 993 lovers over the years it has grown on me. That and the fact it will almost certainly hold more value.

So that one looks all original? I can't find thread specifically mentioning it.

Not bad money with that interior. Not sure I could live with it though.
I wonder what a low miles 3.6 in yellow is worth now?

I have no idea.
A fair bit more than you paid I would reckon.
The longer you keep them, the harder it is to let them go.
I've had my 3.3 for 10 years now.
