Had a really succesful day today getting the S ready for the MOT. It's been sat all forlorn for about 5 months now (since I bought the Chimaera to be honest) but a jump pack was attached and she fired up second time.

Jetwash, t-cut and polish had it gleaming and i got around to doing all those little jobs that it needed when I parked it up.

Today I got the Fog light working again, re-glued the boot carpet, cleaned the interior and polished all of the vinyl. I replaced the headlight bulbs, checked all of the lights/horn etc (all fine) and charged the battery.

I finally got around to fixing the petrol filler cap (the spring had come adrift and it needed drilling).

I even found a good way to cover the delamination so it's looking great now.

Tomorrow it's the steering knuckle joints and then I think we're ready for the MOT and then (probably) eBay!

I have just spent the last hour repeating "I do not need a track day car" over and over!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow 'cause everything today went swimmingly!

Do tell, mine suffers from this really badly. I can't find anything that hides it well.

I've only done the one side so far, I'll do the rest tomorrow, this is "Plasti Dip", goes on like paint but is in fact a liquid latex like material.

I did the wheels on the Chim a few months back and I've just done the fuel filler on the S today.

the bonus is - if you don't like it, or it gets damaged you can peel it off...

I posted the info on the Chimaera forum when I did them. They've lasted really well, even withstanding the jetwash.
