Purdey's Manifolds
Discussion
Right here goes. I have tried to read all this stuff about manifolds , please let me re-aquaint you with the hard facts about my awesome V8S.
Purdey has had fitted by Bamford Rose their superbly crafted manifolds together with the loss of her factory fitted pre cats and cats. The latter were replaced with 200 cell race cats. I believe in the process we lost 18Kgms of lard. The standard silencer is retained though the valves now open at 5500rpm.
Now to the facts . The Dyno results. 422 BHP and 455Nm of torque has now been replaced by 456BHP and 481Nm of torque. A noticeable gain that nobody can argue with. In roll on acceleration against a DB9 from 60 MPH Purdey will pull away.
Couple this with BR's superb switchable suspension which provides GT ride quality and limpet like road holding further aided by a lightweight flywheel and twin plate clutch and Purdey has been transformed into quite some car.
Changing rear silencers for a bit more noise is in my humble opinion a waist of money but if that is what rocks your boat go for it.
We now await BR's next transformation ie The Full Monty. 5 ltr conversion, dual induction and twin throttle bodies. Bamford Mike reckons on 550 BHP! That should tick all the right boxes!
I would also like to add that throughout all the development that BR have undertaken that to date Purdey has not experienced any problems or flashed up any fault codes whatsoever. So to any of you contemplating visiting BR , just do it!!
