Returning to the Fold with a Cerbie?
Discussion
Morning all,
Having previously owned 2 Wedges a Chimaera and a Griffith, I currently own and Esprit Turbo but am considering returning to the fold with a V8 Cerbera. I was wondering if there is a V8 Cerbie owner in Norfolk who would be willing to show me their pride and joy, so I can have a good look over one and have a chat about the pitfalls of ownership before committing?
Cheers,
Ged

There are totally no pitfalls what so ever to be had when owning a cerb. You will smile from day one.....and like any car if something hits the fan just get it sorted in your own time.still love mine but please use the car as they hate standing in warm garages racking up no miles.....I for one would never dream of doing this

Hi J400GED,
having owned an Esprit Turbo myself I can say that driving the car is an enormous leap in fun. I always felt that the Lotus could 'hang on' much better than my driving skill so was afraid to push it past the point.
The Cerb hangs on brilliantly too (especially at the front) but when she goes there is so much control available to the driver that she inspires nothing but confidence.
Just like the Lotus, thje enjoyment of your ownership will be controlled by the level of aftersales servicing you can track down. Not too sure about service points in/near Norfolk but a further question on here will sort that for you.
She's the most enjoyable vehicle I've ever owned.

Good luck with the search Ged, I look forward to spotting your Cerbera around Norfolk!
As a previous TVR owner, you may well be aware that Scole Engineering are good guys when it comes to TVRs. I'm hoping to be in a position to be asking the same question as you just have some time soon, but I think I'll be looking for a Cerbera Speed Six or a 4.5/5.0/modified Chimaera. I can't really make my mind up and unfortunately, one of each won't be an option!

[quote=PuffsBack]I am in Suffolk if you want to take a look at mine. Only thing is its a Speed 6 (still that might be a good thing when you see how under rated they are)
Your blessed with Matt Smith in Downham Market, the only man I trust with my Cerb
Thanks for the offer, I may well take you up on that.
Do you know of anyone in Norfolk with a V8 who would be willing to have a chat and show the Cerbie off?
Cheers,
Ged
