So I have had my S204 220cdi estate for 10k miles.
Discussion
Today the skip rolled on to her 10,000th mile with me.
Average indicated mpg 42.2mpg by virtues of doing a fair number of motorway miles.
What's gone well so far: pretty much everything from her practicality to economy and driving characteristics I've been very impressed with the car. It's nit given any issues bar a bulb and I like the transmission and engine which gives just about enough power to prove fast and I think the gears are well spaced and smoothly change. 5th could be a little taller.
What's not gone well: the ride and refinement. Simply put coming from an E320cdi these would nose dive. The car has comfortable seats but isn't as comfy as my last one. It drives better but on the motorway I'd lean towards the E class.
The paint chips far to easily and 10k miles of me is beginning to show on the chips to the front bumper and bonnet. The interior is in damned need of a clean.
The car continues to delight and provide hassle free ownership and I'd happily recommend the C220 sport to anyone
After an A service at Mer Parts in Port Glasgow it's the highlands then a motorway trip to Leeds and York...
She got a clean to commemorate this occassion
Properly washed her for her 10k miles anniversary
Check the beading
