Just a quick 'heads up'.There will be a fly past by a Lancaster, over Southampton's Eastern docks at about 16:00 today, it's part of a maritime heritage festival, down at dock gate 4 thumbup.

Cheers for that - looking at their website she'll be flying pretty much over the top of me on her way home the next day. I shall keep an eye out.

Saw a C-47 pass over Farnborough this morning and have just seen it heading back a few minutes ago. Probably to do with the same event.

There was no sign of a C-47 down here, the Lancaster is back tomorrow at 14:30 apparently scratchchin.

Hmm - I wonder what it was up to. It was painted in D-Day colours but I didn't get a chance to see if it carried RAF or USAAF markings.

She was over Oxfordshire earlier for the Air & Country show at Abingdon, was greated by a roar as i came out the pub and managed to see her turning over the town before heading over the show.

She flew past my lounge window with the taps open, at about 14:30. It helps that I'm on the fifth floor, and facing towards Southampton airport / the Itchen bridge hehe. Epic sound cloud9.

You have taps in your lounge?
