Armrest - What a Complicated Kit of 'Bespokeness'
Discussion
Following on from my previous post about the 'rusty' underside of the armrest http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a... , I painted it with a coat of silver rust proofing paint after disassembly.
I was amazed at the number of items that make up the armrest and the fact that they are all metal. You can easily see why Astons cost so much. Lovely little gas cylinders for the lid with chromed hinge arms. And something I hadn't noticed before; the strap on the underside of the lid. Perfect for a credit card or similar? Any way, a truly impressive bit of complexity and hand work.
