An interesting noise appeared today on my V12R - every 10 seconds or so sounded like a tweet from a little bird stuck in the Front wheel arch. After a fair amount of investigation I discounted dampers , brakes etc and found out it seems to be linked to the climate control . If I switch it off it stops! I've looked at the belts etc and its not coming from there! Any thoughts what it is and should it go back to the dealer as I'm driving to Spain in it week after next .

Don't know what it is Graham but you don't want to be where your going on holiday without air conditioning. Get the dealer to sort it.

I am taling mine out on Wednesday and will keep an ear open for such a strange noise.

Well it's a well trained one if it is because he stops when I switch the AC off and starts when I switch it on!

Can be the belt, try spraying it with WD40 and running it with AC on.

Don't you mean belt dressing spray?

If a quick squirt of WD40 shows its the belt, then yes go and buy belt dressing spray, however he probably hasn't got any and is more likely to have WD40 or similar.

Isn't it kind of hot round the compressor? I'm not sure I'd want to be spraying anything that flammable...
