I think that first lap at surprised a lot of people, their speed over avon rise was incredible then they just carried it through Quarry corner and off down the straight. The leaders were lapping in 68 seconds... balls like watermelons.... They showed how bumpy parts of combe are too. I did smile at the smokey haze in assembly lane as they started up and the waft of 2 stroke oil after they passed each lap... surprised that the crowd reaction to them was mixed though, I overheard some people who were less than impressed at their appearance on the bill despite their speed and general wow factor...

It was my first time at combe for about 18 months and I thought it was a really good event, it was a shame Simon Tilling made a bad start and his car expired, a sub 60 second lap in those conditions was probably achievable. Couldnt get over how well prep'd the vast majority of cars were either! fair play to everyone involved, a labour of love and some big overdrafts on display!

My start wasn't that bad smile car stopped due to a failed boost pressure sensor

Those tyres are nearly a year old, new tyres for the next mtg yes

The karts are unbelievable... marshalling at Tower was pretty scary, especially when the leaders came through side by side (and perhaps with a smidge of a touch.. or two).
