Looks like a nice car that's obviously had money spent on it. Reasonably priced too. A few things that caught my eye. The seats are non original, the boot spoiler is missing,(I thought it was standard on this car) and there is no mention of service history. Still, could make someone a nice car.

Different seller than before but same price, been on the forum a few times when it was painted and had the RX8 seats installed

boot spoiler was optional on the 400se. They go faster without them... hehe

was mine until a month ago not sure why new owner is selling it on as was/is a good car! good power and great noise, being a flapper there's lots of pops and bangs ................which the chimaera i've now got is lacking!! frown

came with SEAC spoiler when i got it but when i was rebuilding it the more i looked at it on the drive the more i preferred it with out a rear spoiler, so was left off when repainted.

wouldn't be to concerned about service history as everything on car has been replaced/rebuilt in last 3 years, so anything previous is a little pointless, although there was most of old MOT's and some previous bills.

P.S thought it was a bit lazy coping my ad though!! may be i just done such a good job of it ..............can i get paid royalties for it do you think??? idea

The car is mine.

A fab motor but we have friends with drop tops who now want us to come and do a tour of sweeden and then go over the Pyrenees in Spain. The car is great in all aspects but i cant sell it to the wife that I neeeeeeeeed this one as well as another drop to to explore europe in. If you add that to the lack of mechanical knowledge I have a 3000 mile janunt in a 1989 wedge would be marital suicide for me!!!

So its a short lived love affair but it has to go.Seriously good looking car though. Sounds and drives A1

AL. So far as blagging your very well written advert, my kids call it "FRAPED". Besideds you know far more about the old girl than I do so its always best to quote those who know.

Cheers

Andy

I’m wondering whether Wedges are a bit too hairy for most people (including me??).

I’m hoping to dip my toe if things work out financially in a few weeks time (I’ll be looking for an SE of some kind, 450SE being the dream), and have been following this forum with considerable interest. However, I’ve noticed a number of seemingly good cars being moved on relatively quickly after sale and wondered if there is something wrong with them!

Hi Mate..Most of the wedges sold on here are in honest condition as they have been owned by people who frequent this forum..So there is quite a bit of history on certain cars if people care to look..Although some may need pointing to..I have seen this honesty being bought by certain companies who probably just clean them and whack a couple of grand on and sell on within a week or two of purchasing..Unfortunately this then starts going back in to the realms of the age old question.."What's it worth"..There have been many discussions around this sentiment on here many times!..So we wont go into that..But i do also think that sometimes. Especially with the bigger V8's and other TVR model's they are like you say.."Too hairy"..But i suppose its what you are used to..I was contemplating stepping up from my 280i to a V8...350i-450SE but the insurance for me where i live is extorsionate and it is actually cheaper to supercharge my 280i..Which is what im doing very soon..It will be around 100bhp more than i have at the moment so it will take some getting used to and my driving style will have to change or its going to end in tear's..We like to push ourselve's and the car's we drive a little sometimes but be ready if they push back!...Cheers..Ziga
