Some insurance quotes

I took the time to get some insurance quotes this morning for a handful of cars just to compare prices.

Zero no claims bonus, 3,000 miles per year, 32 year old main driver and my wife as a second driver.

E36 BMW M3 - £532
E46 BMW 330 Ci - £775
Mini Cooper S - £722
Renault Megane 225 - £751
Lotus Elise (2002) - £1008

I was very surprised with the cost of insuring the M3 mind.

I would hazard a guess that as the M3 is (probably)the least common car on that list the amount of claims against it are less than the others mentioned.

I looked at an M3 - similar price but as I scrolled down the quote it said "must be fitted with a Tracker"
