Carbon fibre aftermarket wheels.

Actually sounds like they're pretty good, but a touch chavy, and bloody expensive.

Actually sounds like they're pretty good, but a touch chavy, and bloody expensive.
I saw some carbon fibre wheels for a race bike this weekend. They were seriously light! I don't mind carbon fibre when it's used for a good weight saving reason, I despise it when it's used as chavvy tat bolted to the car for no reason whatsoever.
They still look s
t though, and I can't imagine they're much good when you hit a pothole (which you inevitably will with the awful state of the roads).

Pointless trying to use them on the road, they are track wheels.

I imagine potholes would not be too much of a problem. As long as the stress is in the right plane, then. Curbing or sliding into a curb etc, now that would be a major issue.
