fk me do these take the piss or what ..... 30th April I order a headlight switch which costs just under a Tenner which was reasonable I thought, then the postal charges added up to almost the same again eek but I needed it quick as I have a mot booked Monday but go back to work this Thursday for 4 days so no weekend to replace it I needed it quick. Today I get a mail stating its been posted, a whole fking week to actually post the item off mad for £8 postage id expect posting it out next day at least, anyone else would charge £2.50 tops furious....never fking using those robbing twunts again.

I seem to recall Clever Trevor and Racing Green coming to an arrangement sometime ago which resulted in the ridiculous postal charges.

Did you place the order online or via phone. I only phone orders through now and confirm a delivery date for the exact reason you've stated.

A lot of smaller places don't operate their online business as efficiently as Amazon for example.

I've used David Gerald once or twice and they are happy to post items via normal post which is very reasonable.

Turns out Andy the parts guy has been on paternity leave, and his colleague "the apprentice "has been left in charge of clever trevor and racing green's internet orders, so a bit of a delay has occurred, fair play though he has offered to refund the postage costs this time, but still leaves me in a position of not having time now to change the switch before my mot as I'm back on shift, exactly the situation I wanted to avoid by ordering the part whilst I was off shift, I have also suggested they look again at their pricing structure regarding postal costs, but doubt that will change.

Are they not the same parts company now?

Oh yes, often part of the loud sound track when Tivving for me.

A well known aspect of this firm, does not engender good will. They should address it, nowish.

Very impressed with speed and efficiency recently (I always check postage cost at point of order...)...

My large 'box' of parts was charged @ £7.75+ VAT (UK courier upto 8kg) last month from Clevor Trevor... arrived very quick too...

Their one price fits all postage costs are more palatable when a larger order is placed, I knew the charge for delivery when I ordered, that was only part of the problem, and compounded by the late dispatch time.

I can't speak for this company, but postage is expensive these days. Royal Mail keep putting their prices up, so we just use a courier now. UPS is 8.40 for a 24 hour service, up to 20kg or so I think. Works out a fair bit cheaper than RMSD, wouldn't risk using normal post.

Well, I always appreciated CT once delivering parts I ordered on-line to my house free of charge.

Alas, I wasn't at home so they were kindly placed beneath my car and an email sent.

Very magnaminous and a thoroughly trustworthy company.

£8 postage is fine to stomach when you are ordering a lot.. When you are ordering £10 of small parts it is hard to palette.

I have always been happy with the service and P&P charges from Clevor Trevor. The main attraction I find is there website is much easier to use than most competitors.
