The fastest car I have ever sat in was a 400 hp Supra. When the driver hit full throttle, I couldn't lean forward. So how does it feel when you GTR owner's hit the gas at full throttle? What's your impressions? Is it so fast that it's unbearable like riding in one of those aeronautic g-force test machines, scary like riding a roller-coaster, or quick like a superbike?

Alright, since the GTR 640 accelerates faster than a superbike. In comparison between the GTR 640 and a stock Suzuki GSXR-1000, do you feel that the GTR accelerates quicker than the GSXR1000? From time to time, I see a GSXR1000 at a traffic light, then zooms off so quick that in a matter of seconds, it disappears out of sight. Any bystanders ever witnessed a GTR zoom off into the horizon in seconds, leaving everyone behind? I have never seen that in a car before. I have seen some fast sportscars like Vipers, Corvettes, RX7s, Supras going up against superbikes like R1s, GSXR1000, 600s at traffic lights, where the superbikes just left the sportscars for dead at its spot...

Owning a GSXR1000 K3 and 400bhp GTR believe me it's a non contest. The GSXR is a lot lot quicker. The car is very quick, the bike, let's just say errr.. is mind alteringly so...

Wanna buy it?

Have to say I have raced a Duke 998 (20 mph rolling start off road of course BIB ) I had a 10 metre start at 20mph and a 200 metre lead at a 170mph subjective I know .... A friend rode a Honda SP1 with me to SPA and was regularly touching 180mph, if I was not ready with the hammer I was left behind, him like wise if I went for it. It's a bit surreal doing 120mph and having him come pass wheelying and waving to you ..

Any superbike is real quick .. the rider will be the difference.

So what are all of your impressions of the acceleration? How does it make you feel when hit the gas at full throttle? If you have looked at the Mclaren F1 test driven by Tiff, you could tell how the acceleration scared the witz out of that guy. Does the GTR scare you like that? Does the g-forces push you back so hard onto the seat, you can't lean forward?

To put it into a perspective....

You need 750-800BHP to get acceleration like a 500bhp Ultima...... to match G-mans car you would need 1000bhp.

And a 1000bhp engine in a skyline or supra would cost around 60k so I am told.

Oh and there is no turbo lag just instant acceleration everywere.

How on earth are you suposed to decsribe acceleration. You are asking people to reply to this post and give descriptions? Well heres one from the builder/owner (Past tense) of a piddling 450bhp version!

F**king fast!

OK?

Or another. Really rather quick!

OK?

Look at the bare figures and to coin a yank phrase! "Go figure!"

Paul.

"And a 1000bhp engine in a skyline or supra would cost around 60k so I am told."

High HP buildups on skylines generally cost >50kAU, so your price is about right.

High HP buildups for supra's are much cheaper, since the 2JZGTE engine is extremely strong stock. Supra blocks can handle 800hp with basically just bolt ons. Much cheaper than anything you'll do to a SBC.

You'd probally need around 550hp (or whatever it takes for ultima's to run low 10's) in an ultima to play with the 1litre bikes, but it'd eat zonda's and enzo's for breakfast.

"Oh and there is no turbo lag just instant acceleration everywere"

Sure but in a heavily modded turbo car the rush is awesome when boost comes on.

It can be. It can also scare the hell out of you. I've been (un)lucky enough to drive a heavily modified Impreza WRX. I don't know the exact power figures, although it's run somewhere in the 10s, but from my time in it, it seemed that the turbo took forever to spool up, followed by it attempting to drill you into the nearest roadside object because of the bloody turbo rush. No offense, but I like my power linear, and not trying to kick me into the nearest powerpole.
