Smaller TV system to Bose Cinemate

Currently got a Bose Cinemate 2.1 System - 2 speakers and the sub.

Basically my Mrs thinks its all a bit too bulky and wants to get rid of the sub. Are there any good systems out there that does not require a big sub?

Cambridge Audio Minx has a very small sub.

And it packs a punch for a wee beast.
