CLK 55 AMG petrol

I've asked this on the MBOF and not got a definitive answer so do we know any better here?

Neither in my handbook, nor anywhere on the car, does it state what RON fuel the car requires. I have been using Shell V-Power and Tesco 99 but if this is not what the ECU is programmed for, I am wasting my money (and a lot of it........). Does anyone know what the recommended grade is, and can they back it up with a reference?

If your not sure, why not ring your local MB dealer and ask them?

Hiya mate, ive owned a W209 CLK55 AMG for over 15 months now and have always used cheap 95 Ron fuel, never had a problem, save your money, the 99 Ron is not needed
