Need some advice as to what to buy?

I've owned a 996 GT3 Mk11 and loved it and for the last 3 years had a 997.1 GT3RS and loved that even more :-)

However, the RS has to go, as i've too many cars and the wife is expecting - so i'll have even less time :-)

I fear i'm going to need the seats in the rear now but it's got to be a whole load of fun and very quick.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

too quiet. The only downside to the Turbo's IMO - they don't sound great and that's a significant part of sports car pleasure for me.

Nice collection.

Given the need to have usable rear seats, why not go for an M3 CSL? Priced quite keenly nowadays and very special in my personal opinion. I'm not a fan of the gearbox, but then you can't have everything.

Budget?
Is it regular use or just a toy?

Just a toy. But a fairly useable toy. I'll be really sad to see the RS go but with a baby on the cards my Sunday mornings out are going to be fairly limited.

991 cab with sports exhaust may fit the bill, but it'll depreciate like a stone :-(

Can't you just remove the cage and put a child seat in the back?

In that case I'd go just used 991 . Whatever variety you like . 991 s I'm using at the moment is a just fantastic car .
Does everything and does it so very well . Really with 2 plus 2 I'd go 911 and nothing else , unless you want more luxury like a conti gt or a maser . Keep us posted matey ,

It's certainly high on the list of possibles. RS only went to my local specialist for sale today so will keep looking about until the RS finds a new home. Decision to sell was a tough one, but the car only did about 400 car meet miles last year and no doubt that will reduce when youngster makes an appearance.

Aston Martin DBS or V12Vantage. After the RS a 991 looks like one boring car!

It may be a disappointment after an RS, but a 997 GTS is still a very good car, slightly less shouty and of course has back seats... It won't plummet in value as much as buying new either (though that said - it will still drop much faster than the RS would have).

Good suggestion but for the price gap to a used 991 is only circa £10k'ish.

Turbo is still in the frame but concerned about exhaust note.

Chappell Sports Cars have a 997 Turbo in at the moment (which i may consider). It has rear seats so it ticks that box. The RS is being sold through Chappell and i trust Kier implicitly so i'd like for him to source me a car once i've decided.
