v12v going for the 2nd time back to Works in 3 weeks...

... because of center console rattles. Driving me nuts.
Anyone got similar?
They managed to get rid off the ones in the doors but that's about it. Center console is 2nd attempt.
They also corrected a paint default on the bonnet that was there from new.
One has to wonder how they perform final inspections at the factory.

I bought a 07 V8 Vantage from the AM Works garage a few weeks ago and its been back for a center console rattle. They initially fixed it ( put some packing in behind the pasenger seat controls) but its back again. Worse when colder and goes when nice and warm. Maybe the same ?
Going to get it booked in again to investigate!

I've had a rattling from the dashboard on the odd occasion but it does not do it all the time. To be honest I've not driven the car enough - about 1,000 miles in 6 months to really know if this is a genuine problem or not.Anyone got similar?

I think I've fixed the rattle on mine. Took the console out and found a cover on the passenger side of the ashtray underneath the console that covers the spring holding the ashtray cover open. It rattles! Stuck it down with some tape. So far so good. The same may be the case with yours so worth a try. Taking the console out was easier than I thought and just as stated on a post on this forum.
Rattles? on my factory visit I saw a fresh box of them sprinkled at random throughout the production line, just to ensure some do and some don't. My V8V suffered quite a few especially around the sat nav, which were all put right under warranty BUT the sat nav one has started again
Last time it was in the dealers they said they nearly all rattle due to the stiff suspension and s
t roads.

I know mine was one of the first down the line after the August shut so I'm guessing they were still perfecting the even distribution of rattles after a month off.My 993 is close to 20 y-o and 80k miles. It has mildly softer suspension than the v12v and not a single rattle.
Rattles drive me nuts.
My 996 turbo s was full of them. I partially sold it because of this. Got tired of trying to get them fixed one after the other.
Car going back to Works on tuesday. Crossing fingers..
