At last guys should hopefully be in my new polaris white xkrs within the next 7 days, car has now been released for delivery to dealer and there hoping to see it on Friday and if im lucky might might be in it for the weekend, sleepless nights about to begin. The car has been delayed due to the f type sharing same assembly line and my car has been put back and back but at last im hoping to see it certainly within the next week. Will post pictures as soon as I can,but hopefully to wet your appetite have gone for polaris white, black wheels, red calipers, alcantera steering wheel, carbon bonnet vents and mirrors etc etc.Im really hoping its going to look stunning as I changed my mind from the blue to white as I thought the white wouldn't date so much.

cheers guys will post pics asap simon

There are some great deals out there at the moment on the xk and david I would give a jaguar dealer option first to match any internet deal as I think your find they will do as its the dealer that supply the internet company anyway.Been cleaning and waxing most of the day and I must say the paint finish is exceptional, shut lines although not perfect are very good, interior perfect and feels as good as any modern aston inside.

piccies soon simon

On an XKR-S?

I think the -RS is the better option over the F-Type, interms of space, comfort, looks and price......

Actually I don't think that's possible now, the best DTD deal is £82 but in March it was much better if you PX`d something (anything) my Jag dealer beat it and arranged the 3 day test drive. I was very flu type ill at the time and it pissed down all 3 days and I didn't get excited enough but I think if the same offer came up again I may bite

Drove one yesterday, a little different from my XFR.

Only negative was the rear quarter visibility and that is me being picky.

I might also add the exhaust is a bit quiet below 4.5k RPM until it senses high pressure and opens the exhaust valve. Nice top end noise compared to my XFR, higher pitch rather than the low gravely grumble.

I would look at putting a modified exhaust on there. The sound is incredibly when you open it up but a bit muted down low. I'm only say that because i have through flow pipes on the back of my XFR as it sounds much louder at every RPM.

Exploit the noise which is glorious yet slightly restrained at low RPMs so they dont upset anyone.

However, every i have just said could be completely irrelevant if it has a loud button like the f-type.

Enjoy the car, it certainly attracts a lot of attention. I thought my XFR did but this so even more.

I wanted to see what the extra 50bhp and suspension tweaks felt like, i need a saloon for family duties but XFR-S are a little thin on the ground atm.

Looking forward to the pics

bp1000 did you have the car in dynamic mode as the exhaust note on mine with that switched on comes in at 2800rpm and sounds wonderful, with the dynamic mode off I agree 4000 rpm and very muted untill you reach that rpm but that's great for having mrs in the car and being mr sensible which is not that often.Starting to get some real confidence with the car and im really shocked how good the car is, I to have had a xfr which was superb but the xkrs feels so much more hardcore and focused. Will get piccies done over weekend as wet weather coming in to south west tonight so will be back into rrs for a few days.

thx for all the comments guys cheers simon

So bp1000 could you feel the extra 50bhp (I suppose not a fair comparison with XFR as the XFR is a heavier car)
Is the XKRS 6-speed or 8-speed?
(I do find my 8-speed XFR feels quicker than my previous 6-speed XFR just because of the closer ratio box)
