Which 3D HDMI Cable
Discussion
Hi, I've just bought the following Samsung TV & Bluray player:
Samsung UE40ES6710
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121096553660?ssPageName=...
SAMSUNG HT-ES6600
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAMSUNG-HT-ES6600-400W-W...
I've bought a cheap (£5) 5m 3D HDMI cable to connect these but on Netflix & Lovefilm I get an annoying flicker every couple seconds. I've also tried an expensive Chord cable (blue one) which is fine but this ones the old style HDMI and not 3D. Bluray discs are fine with the old cable with no flickering.
Can anyone please recommend a decent 3D HDMI cable, it needs to be 5 meters max.
Cheers Dave

Any cable should be fine. I have two from amazon which were about £5 which work without any issues for me.
Hi & thanks for the reply.I tried a cheap cable though mate and got the flickering (I didn't get this with the chord cable....but cant afford another £80 cable!)
I wonder if its a fault with Lovefilm/Netflix? Works fine if I connect via the TV but the I dont get the surround sound from the player

What version of HDMI cable was the cheap one? A cheap HDMI 1.4 should be OK.A quick Google turned up this site which explains the features of the different versions.

Here's the exact cable I bought:

I have both Netflix and lovefilm via my ps3 or ATV. Neither need anywhere near bandwidth required for 3d.
Mine goes via a denon avr1910 for audio and a optoma hd33 for video. No issues.
Although the ps3 doesn't actually even need the 3d cable as it was an older hdmi spec. It still works though.
You may have got a dodgy cable, but I suspect it's something to do with the streaming services.

All hdmi cables are the same, they carry a digital signal, 010101 with a checksum, not an analog signal which can differ. It must be something else.
No they're not.1m ones from the poundshop work fine
Make sure they're V1.3, preferably V1.4 just for futureproofing really.Bought the 2m version one of these last week for a new Panasonic 3D TV/BluRay setup - works perfectly.
Excellent build quality, a good price and delivered - can't say fairer than that.

I have cheapo cables <£5 connecting my PS3 and tivo to my amp and amp to TV. No issues with 3D blu ray or tivo streaming.

Thanks for the replies and advice gents, I'll take a look at the links later. I need a 5 meter cable as its getting routed through the wall and the player is tucked out the way in the corner.
I'll try this one as suggested and report back

Hopefully you'll be ok with that one.
Just to re-iterate what several people have said, very cheap cables are ok on short runs - I've never had an issue with 1-3m ones, however I have had issues with 5m ones.
I recently needed a 10m cable to deliver 3d signals upstairs, and ordered This Kanaan one for around £20..
I can't vouch for any of their other cables, but this works perfectly over 10M from the Sky+ box and 3D Blu-Ray player.
