2007 CLK Command problem

Evening all,

I've got a problem with my Command system in my CLK63 and wondered whether anyone can help.

None of the buttons on (the Command unit) work to change functions, tracks, adjust volume etc and the buttons aren't illuminated either. However, I can change tracks and volume using the steering wheel buttons, I just can't change CD and the car is working its way through the discs in the changer.

I haven't touched anything like the fuse box etc to try and cure it. Is there a general reset procedure I could use or any other courses of action I should take?

This started yesterday and and I noticed it when I was trying to change CD whilst lowering the roof. Not sure whether operating the roof button and the Command system simultaneously has confused everything.

I had the COMAND phone unit on mine go awry when I was trying to pair it with a new handset. It then refused to cooperate and wouldn't turn off either. In the end it drained the battery which caused everything to reset (inc all the COMAND stuff) and after that it was fine.

I think there's a fuse you can take out which has the same effect - I'm sure I've seen this suggested as the first port of call.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up giving my local independent a call rather than comandonline and have the car booked in tomorrow. Hopefully it's just an unplug and replug otherwise I will try to claim on my extended warranty.
